ALPHABETICAL LIST OF COMMON PSYCHOLOGICAL DISTURBANCES

ATTENTION DEFICIT DISORDER:

Symptoms:  1) forgetting things, even moments later

                   2) being distracted by anything...noises, other children, movement.

                   3) inability to follow even simple, two-step directions

                   4) short attention span ( unable to have a book read to him)

                   5)  sloppiness or not completing work ( homework, chores, etc.)

                   6)  making frequent, careless mistakes

This is more common in girls than in boys. Diagnosis is through a study of child's history, behavior, etc. rather than diagnostic testing
